The SAEL Seminar, a European Seminar on Language Teacher Support
Websites
5- 6
november 2009, Sèvres (France)
The seminar will close the two-year Comenius SAEL (Sites d'accompagnement
à destination des enseignants de langues/language teacher
support websites), project involving three partners: the CIEP (France),
the project coordinator, the
ANIF (Italie) and Europees
Platform (Pays-Bas).
It will take place on 5 and 6 November 2009. All participants will
receive a copy of the SAEL guide, containing concrete proposals for
creating and updating websites designed to support language teachers in
their work.
Programme
The SAEL Seminar is aimed at decision-makers
from associations and
institutions involved in training language teachers and interested in
creating or improving support websites for language teachers. It
will be a unique opportunity to exchange examples of good
practice with decision-makers from all over Europe, as well as with the
teams behind the teaching content for the websites Emilangues, eTwinning, Franc-Parler.org, Primary
Languages and PrimLangues.
The seminar
will
include workshops in which participants can share their experiences (in
French and in English) of creating websites, of choosing and designing
resources, and on the role played by websites in forming networks of
teachers to promote exchanges and mobility. Technical questions will be
dealt with in a conference giving an overview of open source
resources and on the renovation of websites in the age of Web 2.0.
